This is a basic level English Course for beginners designed for Visiting Students. It is recognised by Colleges, Universities and employers worldwide and meets the requirements of the UKBA

	The course helps you understand simple instructions and announcements

	Deals with situations you might come across when travelling as a tourist in an English speaking country

	Ask simple questions and take part in factual conversations in a working environment

	Write letters and make notes on every day matters.

The completion of the course will be assessed by a written examination.

Entry requirement:

	No formal Qualification Required
	No CAS required

Progression Route:

On successful completion of this course students can progress to ESOL at B2 Level – the Advanced English Course, or study any QCF Level 3 - Level 5 course (i.e. Diploma, Advanced Diploma, HND, etc.)

This is an advanced English Course designed for Visiting Students who have completed and passed B1 level. Prepares you for working in an English speaking environment. Study in an upper intermediate level – such as a foundation or pathway course.

	This course will show that you have become skilled in English and you will be expected to understand the main ideas of complex pieces of writing.

	Keep up a conversation on a fairly wide range of topics, expressing opinions and presenting arguments.

	Produce clear detailed writing and explains the advantages and disadvantages of different points of view.

The completion of this course is assessed by examination.

Entry requirement:

	ESOL B1 Level pass Certificate or Equivalent
	No CAS required

Progression Route:

On successful completion of this course you will meet all the English Language requirements for you to progress to study any graduate or postgraduate course.

The second stage of this course prepares you for working in an English speaking environment.
Study in an upper intermediate level – such as a foundation or pathway course.
